Nominations closed on 15 May 2021.
The Standing Committee on Nominations invited nominations for all required positions on the LCA’s governing and advisory bodies. They were submitted by individuals, or by congregations and other authorised third parties wishing to nominate someone.
Current members of governing and advisory bodies seeking to continue in their role/s also needed to submit a nomination form.
The term of service on all governing and advisory bodies commences three months after Convention and the appointment goes through to three months after the next Convention of General Synod. The only exception is the General Church Board, where the term of service commences at the close of the Convention.
Information for people interested in serving the church in this way were invited to visit the LCA Nominations webpage for details about each of the governing and advisory bodies.
Before submitting a nomination, they were to read the Frequently Asked Questions section, which included information about the nominations process and requirements related to serving on an LCA governing or advisory body.
Nomination forms are available for download on the Nominations webpage.
Please note that nominations will no longer be taken from the floor at Convention. The nominations list will be contained in the Book of Nominations sent to delegates with the Book of Reports.
